Performance of microporous filtration membrane

Release time:2022-08-26 10:18:19

The performance of microporous filtration membrane is introduced as follows: CA (cellulose acetate) is suitable for aqueous solution with low protein adsorption; Nylon (nylon) is suitable for aqueous solution and various organic solvents with low solubility, protein adsorption and sterilization; PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is hydrophobic, resistant to all solvents, acids and alkalis, and has low solubility; PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is hydrophobic, resistant to various organic solvents (except halogenated hydrocarbons), and has low protein adsorption; PP (polypropylene) is hydrophilic, resistant to organic solvents, and extremely low in protein adsorption.

The filtration process of microfiltration and ultrafiltration is usually conducted in the form of direct flow filtration (including surface filtration and deep filtration) and cross flow filtration. The most obvious difference between microfiltration membrane and ultrafiltration membrane is that the pore diameter is different. Microfiltration membrane generally refers to porous solid continuous phase with a pore diameter of 0.02-0.1um, highly uniform, and screen characteristics, while the pore diameter of ultrafiltration seems to be 0.002-0.2um, and the pressure during separation is 0.01 - 0.3Mpa and 0.2-1.0Mpa respectively.
